NC Cannabis Panel featuring Tremaine Wright

On April 5th, we partnered with Fuqua’s Cannabusiness Club to host a conversation around community, policy and the local economy in NC.

Fuqua’s Cannabusiness Club at The Fuqua School of Business of Duke University was born from an interest in breaking into the $33B industry that impacts every sector from Healthcare to Consumer Goods. The club aims to educate the Fuqua community about business opportunities in the industry, as well as support activism and restorative justice efforts around cannabis.

Joining our panel were dynamic women at the national and local level to share insight and perspectives on policy at the state level, cannabis related incarceration and recidivism, business and operational barriers to entering the industry. Tremaine Wright, Chair of the NY Cannabis Control Board and Duke University alumnus, shared her perspective on the regulatory and economic impact for NY State and what we can glean for the future of NC.
